Holistic Design & Development
Accordion is an extendable kitchen table that consists of several modules. The table can be extended in a fan-like manner in both directions opening additional storage compartments, which can be pulled out or taken out completely and moved to the other side of the table.

The side modules have built in sliding storage compartments. The storage compartment covers can be used as chopping boards if you turn them over. So the products from the chopping board fall right into the compartment located under it. It saves the workspace and does not let the food spill. The number of the modules varies from one to four.

This project took the 7th place in the International Design Award 2009 organized by Hettich and Rehau. After the competition the company Hettich acquired the rights to the project.
